Course Terms

In the event of a Course being postponed, a new date will be provided once I have spoken to any Students affected. If you fail to pay the balance of any course fee on time, your place cannot be guaranteed and if you fail to attend, you forfeit your deposit. To book a course a 50% deposit is required on booking and the balance is payable one week before the course date.

What is included in each course?

A Kit is included in each course. All training courses take place in the Polished Salon and range from half a day up to four over a period weeks. It is recommended that students arrange for their own models so they can practice between training days. The harder you work, the better you’ll get and these fundamentals are the foundations upon which you will grow your expertise.

• Pay 50% deposits of the chosen courses on booking 

• Kits will be included with each course

• Be diligent, spend time learning and developing your skills at every opportunity

• Recruit at least three models of your own

• Multiple choice examination with a pass mark of 85% to be taken

• Attend and be punctual on the days of your training

• Pay the balance due one week prior to the training commencement date 

• Note places are limited to three students per course, so be quick

• To pass, you need to attain a pass rate of 85% or more

• You will forfeit your deposit if you don’t attend

• Practice makes perfect!

What will you achieve on successful completion?

When you graduate, you will receive a Polished Academy Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) a Level 3 NVQ equivalent course that has passed the ABT accreditation process. As such any Polished Academy course is recognised by the Associated Beauty Therapists. 

The ABT is the UK's largest Beauty Membership and Insurance provider, representing 18,000 business owners, therapists, nail technicians and hair stylists and barbers. It is also supported by over 1000 brands, training providers and suppliers, Polished Academy being one of these. 

Upon passing, you shall receive a Polished Certificate of Completion that fully qualifies you as an insurable nail technician through ABT insurance scheme, one of the very best in the country for beauty therapists. This will also provide a 10% discount off your insurance costs.

You can work in the beauty industry straight away as a junior nail technician or choose to develop your skills with further training.

Health and safety (COVID)

Your own health and safety is of paramount importance and Government guidelines will be strictly followed. Screens will be in place to separate individual students. Your temperature will be taken before your training commences and on the day of your examination. Gloves, masks and hand sanitiser will be provided. A lunch will be included in each course.
